In the muslim tradition, when you have to make an important decision and you are confused, you can ask the help of God via an "estekhare" : For that you make a small prier ("hamdo sureh") and you tell God the problem with which you're confused, and ask wheter it's good to do this action or not. Then you close your eyes and open the Koran, and you interpret the first sentance of the opened page, to determine wheter it's good (khoob), very good (kheili khoob), in the middle (vassat) or bad (bad).
